2012 Matteo Baumgarten Prize to Filip Mlinsek (SLO)
The winner of the 2012 Premio Internazionale Matteo Baumgarten Prize is Filip Mlinsek. The 23-year-old Slovenian racer won the 16th edition of the award for his excellence both in his academic and athletic careers. He will be presented with the award on 1st April 2012 in Bormio (ITA).
The International Matteo Baumgarten Prize is awarded annually by the late Italian racer's family to recognize young skiers who follow the path of excellence exemplified by Matteo. Previous award winners include such current top competitors as Marie Marchand-Arvier (FRA), Tanja Poutiainen (FIN), Aurelie Revillet (FRA) and Tina Maze (SLO), among others.
