The Seminar was opened by the Mayor of Szczyrk, Wojciech Bydlinski, who warmly welcomed all the participants by greeting them in various languages. Following on from the Mayor, Walter Hofer and key FIS personnel led many constructive discussions with the Organising Committees. Key topics addressed included the importance of event organization and venue set up, the World Cup rules, FIS Season Accreditation, Data and Timing Services and Broadcast and Media Services.

In addition to discussing key organization aspects, the seminar provided the opportunity to introduce the new marketing concept for the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies Tour. As of this season, 2011/2012, Viessmann will be the presenting sponsor for the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies Tour and a company from the product category oil and minerals will be the Official FIS Sponsor.

Hans-Georg Schmidt, Mayor from the Organising Committee of Schönwald (GER), who will host a Ladies Ski Jumping World Cup competition for the first time in 2012 concluded the seminar by saying ‘' In 1997 there was the first ladies Ski Jumping competition in St Moritz. At that point of time no one thought it would be possible to have Ladies Ski Jumping as an international competition or as an Olympic event. Thank you to the FIS and the Skiing Community that it has gone faster than we thought and we now have the chance to host a sport of an Olympic level and participate in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Tour".

The seminar was held in conjunction with the Poland Tour in Wisla, Sczcyrk and Zakopane, which kick starts the 2011 edition of the FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix.
