Walter Vogel joins leadership of DSV Marketing GmbH
Walter Vogel will be the new CEO of DSV Marketing GmbH. The 47-year-old will lead together with Stefan Schwarzbach the areas of Marketing and Communication within the German Ski Association. Vogel hence succeeds Stefan Krauss who resigned at the end of 2011.
"We took our time to select the best candidate among the external and internal applicants," says DSV-President Alfons Hörmann. "With Walter Vogel we have chosen a CEO who not only possesses detailed knowledge within his area of responsibility but also understands the structure and frames of reference of our organization."
Vogel has an excellent network within the world of skiing after having served over the years as the press officer for DSV and German NOC, the Technical Director for Alpine Skiing and co-CEO of the GAP 2011 World Championships Organizing Committee.
