The FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup calendar for next season was not yet finally approved until the ski halfpipe events that are presently under discussion are included, following the event's recent addition to the program of the Olympic Winter Games.

The addition of a team event comprising three competitors with no more than two of one gender was already approved as part of the Aerials World Cup.

With the sharing of Freestyle and Snowboard events and use of shared infrastructure in halfpipe, ski and snowboard cross, ski and snowboard slopestyle events at the FIS World Championships, Olympic Games and other competitions, activities, the harmonization of rules, training of officials and procedures will be carried out through a Freestyle Skiing - Snowboard Coordination Group.

The Freestyle Skiing Committee also received a report from the Aerial Advisory Group and their recommendations for a new format for the aerial final, refined aerial site course specifications for city ramp competitions, the usage of artificial surfaces (combined with snow) for jump takeoff surfaces, and the definition of the landing zone.

Furthermore, the same final format for moguls was adopted. This format has qualification and final phases with different rounds in each phase.  In the qualification phase, two rounds will be held. In the first round, a fixed number of competitors will qualify directly into the final phase. In the second round, an equal number of competitors would qualify into the final phase. In the final phase, there are 3 rounds. In each round, a limited number of competitors qualify into to the next round. The last round will determine the podium.

For ski cross, the quota for the maximum team size was increased, a new process for seeding in the qualification was defined and further integration of the WCSL (World Cup Starting List) was agreed, too.
