Norway dominates Roller Skiing Worlds Norway hosted its first FIS Roller Skiing World Championships last week. Aure and Kristiansund welcomed the world's best rollerskiers from 9th-13th August 2011. While a total of 19 nations participated, the Norwegian athletes won 13 out of 16 competitions on their home tracks. The FIS Roller Skiing World Championships took place parallel to the traditional Toppidrettsveka, a series of roller skiing, mountain biking and running competitions for endurance athletes of all levels. The Norwegian junior talent Barbro Kvaale lead the individual medal count. The 19-year old junior skier from the Brandbu Ski Club won all her four competitions, taking home a complete set of gold medals.
