200 days to Voss2013
Friday, 17th August marks the 200-day milestone for the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships to kick off in Voss. The Norwegian community in the western part of Norway is looking forward to welcoming the world’s best Freestyle Skiing athletes from 5th to 10th March 2013.
Voss is a small community of 14,000 inhabitants situated approximately 100km east of the city of Bergen and has a long tradition in hosting FIS World Cup events.
For the Freestyle World Ski Championships, the Organizers have scheduled competitions in moguls, dual moguls, aerials, ski cross and ski slopestyle, all at a brand new venue in Myrkdalen, 25km from the town center. The ski halfpipe competition will be staged in Oslo’s spectacular new superpipe as the first event of the Championships on 5th March.
During the Championships, features of Norwegian culture will be an important aspect of official ceremonies and side events.
