Ski legend Emile Allais passes away at 100 France’s Emile Allais, one of the first true ‘Ski Legends’ of alpine ski racing, passed away after a short illness on 17th October 2012 at the hospital in Sallanches (FRA), aged 100. A multiple world champion in the 1930s and a bronze medal winner at the 1936 Olympic Winter Games at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Allais has been regarded as one of the greatest pioneers of Alpine Skiing. |
