Retirement of Christian Knauth
The Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals at Lenzerheide (SUI) also provided the perfect occasion to bid farewell to the long-time FIS Marketing and Communications Director Christian Knauth who has retired after 19 years of service. Christian Knauth began his career as member of the FIS PR & Mass Media Committee, before taking charge of the newly-established marketing and communications department of FIS in 1992. He previously worked as mead of press and marketing at Austrian sportswear company, Mäser, as well as serving as Vice President of the Austrian Ski Association and of the Vorarlberger Ski Association.
In Lenzerheide, the FIS staff and committee chairmen wished all the best to a long-time friend and colleague who for almost two decades was an integral and enthusiastic part of the worldwide ski community, driving various initatives and opening new doors such as the partnership with Audi, title sponsor of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
Christian Knauth lives in Bregenz (AUT) and Sonthofen (GER) with his wife Pamela, former top slalom skier, and has an adult daughter.
