FIS Council Member Matti Sundberg turned 70
FIS extends its best wishes to Matti Sundberg (FIN) who celebrated his 70th birthday on 8th July 2012.
Mr Sundberg has been a FIS Council Member since 2010, following his election as President of the Finnish Ski Association in October 2009. He was also Chairman of Lahti’s successful bid for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2017.
In addition, Matti Sundberg has been a successful businessman in Finland, Sweden and across Northern Europe for decades. He is or has been Chairman of several companies such as Metso (formerly Valmet), Chempolis Oy, and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Fair Corporation while serving as Board Member of Boliden AB and Skanska AB, among others.
Matti Sundberg is married and lives in Helsinki.
