‘Evaluation Week' for 2011 A&P Camp
The 2011 FIS Aid & Promotion Alpine Training Camp program has gotten underway. From 8th-14th May, 48 athletes from 20 nations were invited for the first camp in Hintertux (AUT). For a full week, the young athletes trained the technical events on the glacier every morning, enjoying great snow conditions and beautiful weather. In the afternoons, the program included fitness training either inside in the gym or on the field in Lanersbach. The main purpose of the camp was as a so called ‘evaluation week' for youngsters born between1993-1996.
The proper season training for the participants will begin at the end of September and continue with some breaks at the end of January. Three coaches and a fitness coach along with four assistants were led by head coach Alexander Guadanini all week.
