FIS Roller Skiing World Cup to kick off in Croatia

On 16th June, Roller Skiing specialists will start their quest for the crystal globes as the FIS Roller Skiing World Cup 2012 begins. Italy’s Simone Paredi and Guro Stroem Solli of Norway will be defending the overall titles.

The FIS Roller Skiing World Cup 2012 will feature 15 competitions in four countries. The series will kick off in Oroslavje (CRO) with a free technique mass start uphill competition and a free technique sprint. After Croatia, the World Cup circuit will visit traditional locations such as Markleeberg (GER) and Bad Peterstal (GER) in July. In August, the FIS Roller Skiing World Cup travels to Tripoli (GRE) where three competitions will take place from 24th to 28th August.

The FIS Roller Skiing World Cup 2012 will conclude in the well-known resort of Toblach/Dobbiaco (ITA). Classical interval start, team sprint and free technique interval start competitions are on the schedule from 14th to 16th September.
