Men's Jumping COC: Overall victory for Rok Zima

Men's Jumping COC: Overall victory for Rok Zima

With a fourth and an eighth place at the final competitions in Wisla (POL), 22-year-old Slovene Rok Zima captured the overall victory of the men's Continental Cup Ski Jumping.

Mario Innauer (ITA), second in the overall ranking, could not fight for the overall title in the final competitions in Wisla after he fell in the trial round and suffered a season-ending knee injury. Andreas Wank of Germany took 3rd overall.

"It was a great season for me but I'm surprised that I could win the overall title. It's a bit sad that Mario fell since it would have been better if we could have fought for the victory until the end. But now I'm the winner and I'm very happy", said Zima.

The Slovenians showed very strong performances in the 2010/2011 Continental Cup series, capturing 3 of the top 5 spots in the overall rankings as besides Zima, Dejan Judez and Matjaz Pungertar delivered a strong season finishing 4th and 5th.
