For those planning to attend Oslo 2011, this tool will be useful to have, both prior to and during event days. The application provides access to a program overview, information about the various competitions (with track profiles and maps), start lists and results. It will feature feeds from the organizers' website, as well as photos from the official championships image database. A map of the arena area provides an overview of dining options, first aid tents and other key points. The application also provides a good overview of the Oslo 2011 cultural program.
If you are wondering where your Facebook friends are among the World Cup audience, the application may help you to find them in the crowd, and you can also get travel information and timetables. The Metro line 1 has frequent departures during the event days. With the 2011 application, you can pick out both the timetable and departure information for Oslo and Akershus. The application also includes a map of the city of Oslo.
Oslo2011 application was developed by Eric Gjessing as a thesis in computer engineering at University College in Oslo.
