Jan Rune Grave joins FIS

Jan Rune Grave will take over the role of Nordic Combined Assistant Race Director as from the coming season, beginning with the Summer Grand Prix events in Germany and the Czech Republic set for late August. He replaces Jarkko Laine of Finland to whom FIS would like to express its sincere thanks for his several seasons of service.

Aged 34 from Norway, Jan Rune Grave was the Nordic Combined Assistant Chief of Competition for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo 2011. He is also an experienced FIS Nordic Combined Technical Delegate. A former Nordic Combined athlete, he competed in 62 World Cup competitions between 2001 and 2005 as well as at the Olympic Winter Games in 2002. He works as a landscape gardener during the off season, and works in the Höydalsmo ski resort, producing snow and driving the ski cat, during the winter time.
