Edith Roser retires

Long-serving Secretary of the FIS President, Edith Roser, will retire from working life at the end of June. Starting her career with FIS in 1979 still under former FIS President Marc Hodler, she is the only administration staff member who has experienced the move from Bern to the Oberhofen FIS Office. After leaving FIS in 1990, when FIS moved from Gümligen to Oberhofen, she returned in 1994 and has stayed with the international ski family since.

Throughout the years, Edith has always been accompanied by her dogs: Benny the beagle, Jolly, the border terrier and today, Murphy the papillon, who all have joined her at the FIS Offices during her career.

After more than 30 years with FIS, Edith’s future plans are filled with new activities. She will now be following her hobbies and travel to the Nordic countries, followed by spending time with family and friends across Europe. In future, she might study further foreign languages such as Spanish and Italian, and continue training her dog Murphy for agility races.

FIS would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Edith for her long-term engagement and contribution to the organization, as well as wish happiness and joy for the coming years!
