Trysil Ski Club celebrates 150th anniversary

The world's oldest ski club arguably, the Trysil Skytte and Skiløberforening, celebrated its 150th anniversary on the occasion of the Norwegian National Championships in Trysil last weekend on 26th -27th March 2011. Founded on 20th May 1861, the club which is the Ski Club precursor of IL Trysilgutten, prides itself as being the world's oldest ski club. Its activities include baseball, mountaineering, Telemark and Snowboarding in addition to the traditional skiing. The 150th anniversary is celebrated with events at both national and local level.
