French General Assembly in Colmar
The French Ski Association, too, held its General Assembly in Colmar last week. While no elections took place following the election of Michel Vion as President in 2010, one of the major decisions of the Assembly was to provide financial assistance to the regional committees amounting to 300,000 Euros for the purpose of recruiting youth (l'encadrement des jeunes). As every year, recently retired skiers were honored including Alpine racers Ingrid Jacquemod, Emmanuel Dalcin and Pierrick Bourgeat, Cross Country athletes Vincent Vittoz and Emmanuel Jonnier.
On Friday, the French Alpine Ski Team announced the appointment of Colmar as its new clothing supplier during the Italian Open Golf Championships in Turin (ITA). Top French athletes Jean-Baptiste Grange, Julien Lizeroux, Tessa Worley, Taïna Barioz, Nastasia Noens and Sandrine Aubert travelled to Piemont for the announcement.
