FIS Athletes’ Commission – Nordics nominations

Nominations for the FIS Athletes’ Commission from the disciplines of Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined can still be submitted until 20th January 2013.

The composition for the FIS Athletes’ Commission foresees two members from Cross-Country Skiing (one lady, one man), two members from Ski Jumping (one lady, one man) and one member from Nordic Combined. The elections will take place during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme (ITA).

The Commission, whose purpose it is to discuss and address issues concerning athletes in general, is the link between active athletes and the International Ski Federation’s advisory and decision-making bodies. The elected Athletes' Commission members will also be part of the respective FIS Committees.

Candidates for the Athletes’ Commission should be active athletes at present, but in any case must have competed at the previous FIS World Championships 2011 or at World Cup level in season 2010/11. One candidate per nation may stand for election in one of the FIS disciplines.

National Ski Associations are kindly invited to submit their nomination form to athletescommission@fisski.com to the attention of Melanie Strauch.
