Audi becomes IOC partner
The International Olympic Committee has recently broadened its commercial portfolio by agreeing a deal for German automotive marque Audi to become an official supplier to the governing body through to the end of 2016.
Audi which is also partner of FIS, will become the automobile supplier of the IOC, equipping the organisation’s fleet in Lausanne plus international IOC events with Audi models. In addition, Audi said there are plans to jointly develop projects in areas such as corporate responsibility.
“Through our cooperation with the IOC, as a top-level global organisation we aim to link our brand even closer with international sport,” said Luca de Meo, a member of Audi’s board of management for marketing and sales. “We're going to shape many exciting joint projects in the future.”
IOC director general Christophe de Kepper added: “The IOC is delighted to have Audi, a world renowned company, as its official automobile supplier and we look forward to developing further social responsibility initiatives with them in the near future as part of this agreement.”
