Chances are high for British Virgin Island talent Peter Crook to compete in Sochi
The British Virgin Islands will be represented at its first Olympic Winter Games in 30 years if halfpipe skier Peter Adam Crook competes at Sochi 2014.
The 20-year-old placed 10th at the past FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup in Cardrona (NZL) which earned him good chances to qualify for the Olympics next year. If he competes will be revealed on 20th January 2014 which marks the end of the Sochi Olympic qualification period.
The Caribbean nation, which has a population of less than 28,000, has only appeared at one Winter Olympics to date. This was when speed skater Erroll Fraser took part in the Games in Sarajevo in 1984.
