Europa Cup and North-American Cup conclude season
The 2013/14 FIS Freestyle Ski European Cup was concluded on 23rd March 2014 in Mora (SWE) where the last ski cross races of the season took place. In the ladies’ category Margarethe Aschauer (GER) came out victorious, while on the men’s side Daniel Riegler (AUT) took the triumph. The cross tour started off on 14th December 2013 in Montafon (AUT) and featured a total of seven different stops.
The aerials season saw its last race on 23rd March 2014 in Chiesa in Valmalenco (ITA) where Alexandra Orlova (RUS) and Dimitri Isler (SUI) were crowned as champions. Throughout four different stops, young gun Orlova claimed one victory and four second places while Isler made three times to the top of the podium and scored one second place.
Ski slopestyle saw its season end in Vogel (SLO) on 16th March 2014 after two previous stops in Mayrhofen and Kreischberg (both AUT) where Philomena Bair and Daniel Walchhofer celebrated an Austrian sweep as top athletes of the season.
The moguls season concluded on 20th March 2014 in Kungsberget (SWE) with Katharina Foerster (GER) and Marco Tade (SUI) claiming the top of the podium. Tade took his second moguls Europa Cup title while for Foerster, it was a first.
North American Cup
Tania Prymak (USA) and Kevin Macdonald (CAN) claimed the season title in the ski cross NorAm Cup which saw its final race at Mt. Hood, Meadows (USA) after a total of five stops on the calendar.
Si Nin Chang and Harrisson Smith (both USA) topped the aerials competitions which concluded on 24th March 2014 at Utah Olympic Park (USA). The men’s standings where clearly dominated by the United States with four athletes sitting in the top four while Canadians took second and third place on the ladies‘ side.
The ski slopestyle tour finnished off on 5th March 2015 at Sun Valley (USA) with Emma Whitman (CAN) and Ethan Swadburg (USA) topping the final standings. Whitman claimed two victories in two competitions featured on the calendar while Swadburg made it to one top spot.
Halfpipe which concluded in parallel with the ski slopestyle competitions saw Brobby Leeds (USA) winning the tour which consisted of three stops. His teammate Abigale Hansen came out victorious on the ladies’ side and clinched her first season title.
The last moguls competition of the season took place on 23rd March 2014 at Vail (USA) after three previous stops across Canada and the United States. It was Morgan Schild (USA) who topped the ladies’ rankings making it her first title victory in her second season. The men’s standings were dominated by her teammate Dylan Walczyk who took his second title since 2012.
