    Cardrona Alpine Resort’s 22-foot high Olympic Superpipe provided the stage for a heavy-hitting competition today as the world’s best freeskiers battled for podium spots in the FIS Freeski World Cup final being staged as part of this year’s Audi quattro Winter Games NZ. Alex Ferreira (USA) was the gold medal winner in the men’s event with Cassie Sharpe (CAN) taking the top spot in the ladies’ competition.
