According to a press release the German Ski Federation (DSV) sent out yesterday, the Ski Cross World Cup scheduled for January 31st and February 1st,, 2015, will take place in the Tegernseer Tal area.

The world's best skiers will come together to battle for precious World Cup points at Oedberg, where the course will be purpose built.

Main host of the event will be the ski clubs of the region spear-headed by SC Ostin.

“The ski clubs of the Tergenseer Tal region have underlined their strength in hosting events with several German Championships as well as races on the FIS and Europa Cup level,” said Walter Vogel, Head of DSV Marketing GmbH.

“I'm profoundly convinced that the clubs will organise perfect races.”

Georg Reisberger, President of the SC Ostin, added: “We are happy to welcome the world's ski cross elite and are looking forward to host the event within reason.”

It's the first time in history, SX events will take place at Oedberg which will become the third German venue ever to make it on the World Cup calendar. In the last four years, races had been held in Grasgehren and Bischofswiesen on an alternate base.
