Sanna Lüdi and Armin Niederer have claimed the national titles at the Swiss Ski Cross Championships which took place in Morgins last weekend under blue bird sky.

Lüdi, who had finished her World Cup season as ninth ranked skier of the World Cup tour, edged off Jorinde Müller and Nicole Frei in the women's final to second and third respectively.

“I'm just happy that I was able to finally compete as the nationals again,” she said alluding to the injuries she had suffered over the past months.

On the men's side of things, Niederer, the second-best qualifier, took his career's second beating Joos Berry and Gregor Fritsche in the final.

“I'm very pleased with the race. The course was, given the warm temperatures, in perfect conditions and fun to ski,” Niederer stated.

Morgins had taken over the event from Leysin which couldn't host the nationals due to the lack of snow.
