Swiss skier Sanna Luedi has to handle another set-back as she fractured herfibula in a racing accident at the Ski Cross World Cup at Val Thorens three days ago.

The 27-year-old from Bern came up short on the final jump during the first race staged in the French winter sport resort thus missing the sweet spot and landing in the flat.

Due to the impact, she inured here fibula and will be sidelined from training for the next weeks.

However, as the Olympic hopeful already underwent surgery, she hopes to be back on skis on Feb 1st if the healing process goes well and as expected.

“I'm still doing everything I can to be able to compete at Sochi and to fulfil my dream of bringing home a medal,” she said.
