    German podium sweep in Oberwiesenthal’s heat

    Local hero Eric Frenzel proved to be the best athlete in the first individual competition of the summer and claimed the victory in Oberwiesenthal today. In very warm and sunny weather Frenzel had a start-finish victory and ended his race 11.3 seconds earlier than his teammate Johannes Rydzek. The third position on the podium went to Fabian Rießle who finished 18.5 seconds after the winner, completing the German podium sweep.
