The Board of Alpine Canada named Vania Grandi its President and CEO effective 1st January 2018.

Grandi succeeds Mark Rubinstein, who served as CEO and President of Alpine Canada for the past four years, during which time the organisation achieved significant high-performance and business success.

Vania Grandi comes from one of Canada’s most illustrious ski families. She was a member of the Canadian National Ski Team along with her younger brother, four-time Olympian Thomas Grandi, and sister Astrid. She brings a deep understanding of alpine ski racing, with her background and is the first woman to lead Alpine Canada.

“I am absolutely thrilled with the opportunity to follow my passion and focus my efforts on supporting Canada’s athletes and the broader ski community,” said Grandi. “Leading Alpine Canada brings my career full circle and it is a dream come true. Now I want to contribute to helping our athletes, coaches and parents realise their dreams too!”
