Andreas Matt (AUT) won the final in ski cross World Cup in Branas (SWE) today and reinforces what has already been seen as a fixed Overall World Cup victory.

Del Bosco (CAN) narrowly lost a tight battle with Austria’s Andreas Matt to finish second in the men’s final. Conradign Netzer, of Switzerland, was third and the Czech Republic’s Tomas Kraus was fourth. Matt has a big lead in the overall standings with 779 points, ahead of Del Bosco (515) and Finland's Jouni Pellinen (422).

For Matt, it was the third victory in this World Cup winter and fifth of his total career. "Slowly, I was slightly scared. This was again a cool race. I am again absorbed by everything," shouted Matt.

In the eleven races so far this season (World Cup and World Championships), the 28-year-old jumped nine times on the podium. In addition to three victories this season, the silver Olympic medallist, have won five second places and a bronze in Deer Valley.

With this series, Matt was also at the forefront of the Freestyle World Cup, which provides the Austrians a duel with the French moguls Guilbaut Colas for overall victory.

"It would be madness if I search for Ski Cross World Cup could still win the big freestyle ball. I focus only on even at the last race in Norway to bring my performance. Everything else is already saying "said Matt, who like Colas has next weekend in Myrkdalen-Voss still a way to collecting points for the overall World Cup.
