FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Opening will be held on Saturday December 10th at Ruka ski resort in Kuusamo, Finland.

The mogul events scheduled for Saturday will open the World Cup for this season and look to take place in excellent conditions. On Friday the moguls course saw the last official training before the competition day. Sami Mustonen, the head coach of men's Freestyle Ski Team Finland is very pleased with the last training.

"Our team did very well today and the moguls are in perfect condition. We are well prepared for the competition tomorrow".

Mustonen considers last year’s winner, Patrick Deneen from USA and second placed Mikael Kingsbury from Canada to pose the biggest threat to the Finnish team skiers.

"The first competition of the season is always extra thrilling whether it is held at home resort or somewhere else", says Sami Mustonen.

The head of the organization committee Marko Mustonen is also looking forward for the World Cup Opening. Mustonen is pleased to tell that all arrangements have worked out as excpected.

- We have an excellent and efficient crew here. We have worked long hours and it has really paid off. Everything is well set for tomorrow’s competition.
