In summer temperatures, the Swiss ski cross Championship took place in Arosa today. With a technical course, high speed, blue sky and great opportunities for tanning, the Championship was highly appreciated by both athletes and fans.

The happiest man of the day was with no doubt Conradign Netzer who can call himself a Swiss Champion from now on. Having crossed the finish line ahead of his competitors, he expressed his race like this:

"The fact that the course didn't have too many turns today surely gave me an advantage".

Last years winner, Armin Niederer couldn't keep up with Netzer today, and had to accept his bronze medal. The experienced Netzer could celebrate his victory ahead of Patrick Gasser, Armin Niederer and fourth place winner, Alois Mani.

Arosa was packed with talented athletes today, including the entire Swiss-Ski women's National team in ski cross filling the podium after the competition. The strongest one was not surprisingly Fanny Smith, who was really happy about her victory;

"Ending the season like I did today surely gives me the strength and motivation to keep it going for next season!"

Emilie Serain had to give her Swiss Champion title away, but could be proud coming second followed by Fränzi Steffen.
