Final countdown to 2018/19 World Championship Organiser election

There are less than 40 days to go until the election of the Organisers of the FIS World Championship in 2018 and 2019 takes place in Barcelona (SPA) on 5th June 2014.

Since the FIS Technical Meetings in autumn 2013, where the Candidates presented their initial event concepts, each of them has been working to further develop their bids. Most of the Candidates also showcased themselves during the FIS World Snow Day on 19th January 2014 with great success.

During the 49th International Ski Congress week in Barcelona, all of the Candidates will showcase their bids at the FIS World Championship Candidates exhibition. Furthermore, each will be presenting their candidatures in the respective Technical Committee Meeting(s), in addition to their official presentation to the FIS Council.

Finally on Thursday 5th June, the FIS Council will elect the Organisers of the 2018/2019 FIS World Championships, the results of which will be announced at an evening reception - being streamed live on the internet..
