As SnowKidz continues to expand around the globe, the first SnowKidz event recently took place in Valle Nevado, Chile.

Organised by the Brazilian company Stream Eventos, the event was held over four days. Participants were treated to a fun race which saw families participate with their children.. Following the race, each participant was presented a goody bag, certificate and trophy for their participation. Afterwards they were also given the chance to try free snowboard lessons, free snow shoe tours, and to take part in a  snow sculpture contest.

The additional activities broadened participant’s horizons about snow sports with some remarking they had never seen snow shoes.

Event Director Claudia Albequrque commented: “It was a challenge to organise our first Snowkidz activity in another country.  My team and I worked hard, but as soon as we saw all kids learning and enjoying the snow, it not only was absolutely amazing, but also it paid off all the effort we put into it. It’s incredible to see how fast they learn. We are ready for the next one with a lot of surprises”.
