The FIS Grass Ski World Cup 2014 got underway the first week of June in Ravascletto (ITA) and it was the turn of Marbachegg (SUI) to host competitions last weekend, 28th-29th June. The races were not short on excitement as the world’s elite of Grass Skiing came to the Swiss resort to battle it out for the top spots.

Starting with a giant slalom, Stefan Portman (SUI) took home victory to the joy of the local fans. In the ladies‘ category, Kristin Hetfleisch (AUT) clocked the fastest time. Both skiers also dominated the super-G competitions and made it two victories in a row.

The FIS Grass Ski World Cup will continue from 18th-20th July in Kaprun (AUT) before moving to Dizin (IRA) and Rettenbach (AUT). The finals will be held from 5th-9th September 2014 in Predklasteri (CZE).
