After the snowboard cross riders have done their job, round two of the biggest World Cup stop of the past ten years is just about to start.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 22, it's time for the carving specialist to take over the show.

The season's fourth parallel giant slalom is about to take place. And this time, all eyes are on one man: will Benjamin Karl nail a five-peat?

The past four years, the reigning World Champion from Austria was able to win in Stoneham and is keen to do so again.

In addition, also the freestylers are getting ready to enter the terrain and crown the Halfpipe World Cup title winners over the course of the next two days.

Despite the fact that Janne Korpi (FIN) didn't get along with the pipe today as he wanted to, the 26-years-old is the top favorite for the title on the men's side.

On the women's side, three riders will battle it out for the honours. As Lucile Lefevre (FRA) and Ursina Haller (SUI) won't compete in Stoneham, the title will go to Queralt Castellet (ESP), Emma Bernard (FRA) or Xuetong Cai (CHN).
