Luca Berg and Konstantin Schad have crowned themselves new German Boardercross Champions today.

In Grasgehren, 18 years-old Berg was able to keep hold on her title by finishing eighth on the women's side – best female rider was Michela Moioli (ITA).

According to the fact that the Esslingen resident missed thebig finals and didn't had to face a “true” competition from her team mates, Berg was pleased but not as happy as expected.
“Of course I'm glad about the result but I was really after a better overall ranking.”

On the men's side, the new German Champion was all smiles.

No wonder, as Schad clinched the national title for the first time in his career by placing overall third behind of Markus Schairer (AUT), who not only won today but also the Austian and US-American Nationals and Fabio Caduff (SUI).

“That's awesome. I'm super stoked that the hard work after the last summer, which was mainly dominated by fighting back from injury, paid off. It's finally the title,” said the 24-years-old Bavarian after the finals.
