Konstantin Schad (*1987) was named to the FIS Council at the Congress in Costa Navarino (GRE) for the 2018 to 2020 period as one of two members of the Athletes' Commission.

Schad (GER) is the Chairman of the FIS Athletes' Commission, a post he has held since 2017, and represents Snowboarding.

The 30-year-old competed in snowboard cross at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games for Germany. He made his World Cup debut in February 2007 and has earned three victories, individually and in the team, and one podium finish during his career so far.

Schad said of his chairmanship on the Athlete’s Commission, “I've always been socially motivated, not necessarily pursuing my own agenda, but always trying to help out everybody. After I got involved with FIS four years ago, learning how things are done in this big organisation and being able to communicate it back to my fellow athletes, I figured that now would be time to more actively make an impact on the athletes' position within FIS. I think that we did some great work in the last couple of years already and I hope I can be a worthy successor to the previous chairladies Jessica Lindell Vikarby and Kikkan Randall.”
