The juniors of Nordic Combined concluded an important season today, 15th March 2017 in Trondheim (NOR) which featured the introduction of a FIS Youth Cup series for girls and boys.

It was the first time that athletes in the Youth II category born between 1999-2001 fought for an overall title and that a female overall winner was crowned, marking another significant step in the development of ladies’ Nordic Combined.

Jenny Nowak and Jan Andersen (both GER) topped the Youth I category while Annmarii Bendi (EST) and David Zemek (CZE) won the Youth II rankings.

Altogether, 77 athletes (25 girls, 52 boys) from nine nations participated in the first edition of the FIS Youth Cup. The calendar featured two events in summer - Vuokatti (FIN) and Oberstdorf (GER) - and two events in winter - Harrachov (CZE) and Trondheim.
