According to his performance on the Zermatt glacier, the 17 years old talent from the Wallis region, who is one out of only four riders having sticked a triple cork so far, is a worthy winner.

"It was a great weekend for me. I'm happy that I was able to keep hold to my title", Burgener said.

The all Wallis podium was rounded out by Aurel Anthamatten from Saas-Fee placing second and Yannick Imboden from St. Niklaus finishing third.

Due to the bad weather conditions, the event had to wrap up earlier than expected. According to this, there is no women's title this year as the big air contest couldn't take place.
