Qualification despite heavy snowfall

While World Cup leader and reigning World Champion Alex Pullin (AUS), who failed to qualify for tomorrow’s finals, was the most prominent victim of the weather conditions, Lindsey Jacobellis (USA) and Alberto Schiavon (ITA) were the fastest ones to races down the course peppered with 18 features.

In addition, World Cup leader Dominique Maltais (CAN), Eva Samkova (CZE) and Maria Ramberger (AUT) did also well as second to fourth of the women’s qualifying thus leading also one of the four final heats of the top 16 ladies.

On the men’s side, Emanuel Perathoner rounded out the top result of the Italian team as second while Andrey Boldykov (RUS) posted the third fastest time and Markus Schairer (AUT) ranked fourth in the qualifying time trials.

The finals will take place tomorrow at 12 PM, including a better weather forecast…
