Katarzyna Rusin (POL) and Marco Grigis (ITA) have secured Gold at the last event of the 16th FIS Junior World Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain.

The Polish freestyle talent claimed her career's first ever title by winning the slopestyle event today ahead of Indigo Monk (USA) and Celia Petrig (SUI).

It was the third ever Gold for a Polish rider in the history.

Dorota Zyla (POL) had won the halfpipe event in 2001, Paulina Ligocka-Andrzejewska (POL) the big air in 2004.

On the boys' side, Marko Grigis brought home his first ever win at Junior Worlds and thus followed the footsteps of fellow countrymen Francesco Sandrini (2002, 2003), Ruday Galli (2003), Corinna Boccacini (2005), Omar Visintin (2009) and Edwin Coratti (2010).

Slopestyle Silver went to Darcy Sharpe (CAN), Brandon Davis (USA) claimed Bronze.

The Marc Hodler Trophy for the most succesful team went to Switzerland.
