More than 50 members travelled to Seefeld (AUT) for the 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships World Broadcasters’ meeting on 9th and 10th April. Infront, together with its Host Broadcaster ORF, responsible for bringing the World Championship action live to millions of homes around the globe, laid out detailed plans for the broadcast operation.

On Monday 9th April, Infront and ORF, together with the Seefeld 2019 Local Organising Committee presented the venue plans including the competition schedule from the broadcasters’ perspective. In the afternoon, the group visited the venues on a detailed tour and discussed various camera positions and logistics. The group travelled to the Seefeld competition venues, medal plaza, the International Broadcast Centre site and to the Bergisel Ski Jumping hill in Innsbruck, which will host the large hill competitions.

On Tuesday, all broadcasters scheduled individual unilateral meetings with Infront or ORF to address their specific needs, wishes and questions before heading back to their home nations to continue plans for the broadcasting of the World Championships.
