Southern hemisphere prepares for a season of SnowKidz
As winter moves south, SnowKidz Organisers are gearing up for a strong season.
This season, nine events in the southern hemisphere have been registered and it is anticipated another five are still to come. Amongst the events, the highlights include:
Parque Eco Esportivo Dahma, Brazil: a three stop tour through Brazil that will showcase cross-country skiing to school kids. Organised by the Brazilian Ski Association and coordinated by former Olympian Leandro Ribela.
Audi NZ Snow Games Coronet Peak, New Zealand: Combined with the FIS Snowboard and Freestyle Ski World Cup, a series of kid’s events will be staged on and off the hill. Events include free-skiing in the Mini Winter Games Arena, fun slalom races and freestyle sessions.
Torah Bright Mini Shred Thredbo, Australia: Snowboard Olympic Champion, Torah Bright will once again host a full kid’s day at Thredbo. Kids will have a chance to meet and ride with Torah and receive free lessons, giveaways and on snow entertainment curtesy of the resort.
Kids Opening Day Lake Mountain, Australia: Lake Mountain has been very active in bringing children to the snow. The resort will kick off the season with a full kid’s programme including the Burton Riglet Park and a cross-country parcours. Instructors will be on hand to provide lessons and guidance to adults as well as children.
