Staff information: IT Technical Expert and Marketing Intern join FIS
FIS is pleased to welcome two new staff members to its office team based in Oberhofen (SUI).
Maria Martin Civiac - IT Technical Expert
As of 1st September 2014 Maria Martin Civiac will take up her position as IT Technical Expert. She will work in the IT department with software engineering and programming of web services and databases. Additionally she will provide IT support at the FIS Office and for National Ski Associations.
Maria’s professional experience includes working with Atos, the worldwide IT partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, during London 2012. Her duties included the delivery of IT operations at the Olympic and Paralympic Shooting and Paralympic Archery competitions.
Born in Spain, Maria presently works in Vienna (AUT) as a Software Engineer. She is 23 years old and has a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Along with fluent English and German, she has basic knowledge of French, Greek, Italian and Catalonian.
Katherine Houston – Marketing Intern
Katherine Houston will begin her role as Marketing Intern in the beginning of September. Her main tasks will be assisting the implementation of FIS Sponsor and Partner activities and activation, with a strong focus on Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard, as well as supporting various marketing projects.
Katherine is a student of AISTS in Lausanne (SUI) and was involved with fellow students in carrying out a market research project for FIS earlier this year. In 2010 she was an intern at the Vancouver Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games as a member of the sport management team for Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard.
Katherine is 26 years old and comes from Canada. Along with her native English, she speaks fluent French.
