Strong German skicross team ready for Grasgehren
Two World Cup victories by Heidi Zacher in St. Johann and Daniel Bohnacker in L'Alpe d'Huez, one third place by Anna Woerner in St. Johann, and some top-ten finishes: The DSV Ski Cross team can after four World Cup races look forward to the World Cup in Grasgehren with an unexpected and extremely positive trend.
With the World Cup in February in Deer Valley (USA) and the fifth World Cup race next Saturday in Grasgehren / Obermaiselstein, the first World Cup race on German soil, the real highlights of the season for the team is still ahead.
"We are extremely motivated and want to present ourselves in our first home race, hopefully the number of spectators as well as the many media representatives accredited, and for the course to be in top shape," Heli Herdt, Sports Director & Freestyle Ski Cross in the DSV said. The last World Cup races were indeed extremely power consuming, but the DSV have athletes to participate again in the best possible way. Herdt: "They really should all be back in top shape, so the team can hopefully identify with good results."
Besides the athletes, which were previously in the World Cup with the process agreed on the last European Cup races and some of the young ski Crosser Citizens for this World Cup is recommended so that all 1b-Athletes/innen LG and LG-1a, which does not infringe are nominated for the race.
