Successful men's halfpipe qualifiers in Ruka

After the qualifiers for the men's had to be postponed due to heavy winds, the guys took full advantage of a perfectly re-shaped pipe in Ruka – with Finnish rippers dominating the show.

In heat one, Markus Malin (FIN) took the top spot with a score of 90.7 relegating Dutch riders Steve Krijbolder (84) and Dolf van der Wal (79.3) to second and third.

In heat two, Risto Mattila rocked the halfpipe earning a total of 80.3 points. Tim-Kevin Ravnjak (SLO, 74.7) and Sergey Tarasov (RUS, 74.3) also made it directly to the finals placing second and third.

In the semi finals, scheduled for tomorrow right before the finals, Dmitry Mindrul (RUS), Pavel Kharitonov (RUS), Linus Birkendahl (GER), Aleksi Kumpulainen (FIN), Joel Lahti (FIN), Tero Manninen (FIN), Johannes Hoepfl (GER), Filip Kavcic (SLO), Ruben and Isaac Verges (ESP), Yannick Imboden (SUI) and Oriol Fargas (ESP) will fight for the last six final spots.
