Tino Edelmann started skiing at the age of six and came to the sport of Nordic Combined because of his father Klaus, who was a coach in Thuringia at that time. He made his first jump with seven years and when he was ten, he started attending the Sports Gymnasium at Oberhof. The resident of Oberhof gave his World Cup debut in 2003 in his hometown and has since then started piling up good results, namely 8 medals at Junior World Championships and a growing collection of Olympic and World Championship medals.
Similar to Berni Gruber, Tino's second passion is music. He plays the guitar and has got a Indie-Punk bank called "Se Klasse" where he plays together with former Nordic Combined athlete Christoph Menz. Although he has not much time to devote to music, the duo tries to meet up and jam as often as possible and grow as musicians, too.
