Vinzenz Geiger had his first start in the World Cup in Lillehammer in 2015 and worked his way up in an amazingly strong German team in the 2016/17 season in a remarkable way. In his first full World Cup season, Geiger raked in five Top Ten ranks, among them his first podium result in Ramsau am Dachstein (AUT) with rank three. In the same season, he also won the Junior World Champion title in Park City/Soldier Hollow (USA), after having conquered the silver medal one year earlier in Rasnov (ROU).
Geiger, who hails from Oberstdorf and starts for the same club as multiple World Champion Johannes Rydzek, enjoys skiing and mountain tours in his free time.
