  • In his long career, Björn Kircheisen has piled up an impressive amount of medals and titles. Starting as a very successful junior, Kircheisen managed to win six Gold Medals at Junior World Championships in the course of three years, a feat that no other junior was able to achieve after him. At major events like Olympic Games and World Championships in the course of his carreer as a senior, he has a tendency to show equally impressive performances but ending up with a silver medal instead of the gold why his teammates nicknamed him "Silver Björn".

In his free time, Kircheisen likes to play soccer, ride a motorcycle, work on the computer and spend time with his dog Kalle, a Bolonka Zwetna. The policeman from Johanngeorgenstadt, Germany, characterizes himself as ambitious and optimistic but still likes to "Take it easy and keep cool" as his life motto says.
