Lukas Runggaldier came to the sport of Nordic Combined only in 2002, he had been competing as a cross-country skier before that. It took him 6 years to make his first appearance in a World Cup competition but finally in 2008, Runggaldier debuted in Trondheim. Together with the Italian team, he took part in the World Championships in Oslo and the Olympic Games in Vancouver.
The resident of St. Cristina, Italy, likes to cycle, work with the computer and mountain sports and cars when it comes to his leisure time.
