Adam Cieslar adds another national title to merit list
Adam Cieslar has done it again. After winning the summer nationals on the large hill in Wisla earlier this year, he has also claimed the title on the normal hill in Szczyrk. In the end, it was 18 seconds that separated him and runner-up Pawel Slowiok after the decisive cross-country race. Szczepan Kupczak claimed the remaining podium spot, 42.7 seconds after Cieslar.
The jumping event hat Kupzcak, who had already shown a great jumping shape during the Summer Grand Prix, in front with a point total of 135.5 points after his 105 metre jump. Cieslar ranked second, amassing 125 points with 100.5 metres, which meant a 42-second time deficit. Michal Gut-Chowaniec ranked third with 99.5 metres and 123 points and started 50 seconds behind Kupczak.
In the cross-country race, there was no discussion about the winner as Cieslar overtook Kupczak and was able to cross the finish line with this clear margin. Behind Cieslar, Pawel Slowiok impressed with his cross-country performance once more. Setting the fastest time of 26:41.7 for the 10 km of roller-skiing, he stormed to the podium from rank five.
